Job summary

The MOE Secondary School near Yishun MRT is seeking a proactive Kitchen Assistant to support the Nutrition and Food Science Lab and provide admin support to the science team. You will help with food preparation, inventory, and maintaining lab tidiness while coordinating with teachers and leaders to ensure smooth daily operations.

This role requires PSLE certificate, SFA Food Safety Level 1, and at least 1 year kitchen experience.

Qualifications

• PSLE certificate required
• SFA Food Safety Course Level 1 completed
• At least 1 year of kitchen experience
• Knowledge of handling food and ability to portion ingredients for practical lessons
• Team player with positive attitude and pleasant disposition
• Good communication skills
• Able to work independently and take initiative

Responsibilities

• Cutting and preparing ingredients and distributing them according to teachers' recipes
• Store food ingredients according to food safety standards
• Maintain refrigerators and clear waste
• Clear the centre store table and dispose of packaging
• Maintain tidiness of Food Labs and ensure cookers are off after lessons
• Assist in food ordering and receiving deliveries
• Conduct stock-taking of consumables and liaise with grocer for exchanges
