Job summary

Australian International School is seeking a School Counsellor to join our team in Singapore. This role focuses on safeguarding and promoting student welfare, with responsibilities spanning counselling, student support, and collaboration with staff and families.

Applicants should hold relevant professional credentials, include CBT qualification, and demonstrate experience in child protection matters. Registration with a recognised body and a willingness to engage with the wider school community

Qualifications

• Professional membership, or credentials that meet criteria for professional membership of a state/national counselling association.
• Certificate in cognitive behaviour therapy or similar.
• Awareness or experience in child protection matters.
• Current full registration or eligibility for registration as a teacher from a recognised educational body.
• Experience in an International School or similar environment would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication, multi-tasking and time management.

Position Requirements:

• Professional membership, or credentials that meet the criteria for professional membership of a state/national counselling association
• A certificate in cognitive behaviour therapy or similar
• An awareness or experience in the area of child protection matters
• Current full registration or eligibility for registration, as a teacher from a recognised educational body.
• Experience in an International School or similar environment would be a advantage
• Excellent communication skills, multi-tasking and time management
• Ability to work as a part of a team and an interest in participating in the wider school community

Qualifications:

• A minimum of two (2) years full-time, supervised experience working with children and/or young people in an educational, child protection or counselling environment
• Minimum One year full-time (or part-time equivalent) coursework Masters, majoring in counselling from a recognised university or
• Registration as a psychologist through a recognised regulation agency, or a fourth year qualification in psychology
