Job summary

Queenstown Secondary School in Singapore seeks a qualified social worker for a fixed-term contract from 16 Oct 2026 to 31 Dec 2027, with a potential extension to 2028. Hours: Mon–Thu 7.30am–5.00pm (1h lunch), Fri 7.30am–4.30pm (1h lunch); closed weekends and gazetted holidays.

You will manage the Tree House/Student Services Hub, connect with students over time, provide socio-emotional support, and plan targeted programmes after school.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in social work or related disciplines as listed.
• Registered Social Worker or SASW member is required.
• Two years of relevant experience in schools or youth work recommended.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Tree House / Student Services Hub during hours stated.
• Build regular relationships with identified students for holistic development.
• Provide socio-emotional support during curriculum hours when needed.
• Plan and run intervention programmes (academic support, mentoring, engagement).
• Observe and document student needs; report to Student Development Team and school leaders.
• Provide feedback on needs and programme experiences; assist with improvements.
• Conduct term-end reviews of engagement programmes and act on upgrades.
• Maintain professionalism in interactions with students and staff; perform duties as assigned.
