Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Accept client trading instructions and execute orders accurately and efficiently in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Support trading activities across different market sessions, including U.S. market hours, with focus on execution quality and client service.
  • Track market movements and macroeconomic data in real time; update clients on price changes, liquidity, margins, and strategies.
  • Monitor client positions, margin, and risk exposure; issue warnings and coordinate with Risk Management on mitigation.
  • Comply with MAS and other regulations; standardize operations, client information retention, and trade reporting.
  • Maintain familiarity with exchange rules and customer fund arrangements; report trading data as needed.
  • Develop potential clients; participate in industry events and client visits; offer hedging and cross-border solutions.
  • Maintain and expand client relationships; communicate trading needs and hedging/arbitrage requirements.
  • Support onboarding, access review, and due diligence; assist with market research and cross-department coordination.
  • Assist business development and marketing initiatives, including conferences and events in Southeast Asia and Singapore.

Job Summary

This role provides broad exposure to sales & trading, client servicing and business operations in a regulated financial services environment, with opportunities to work closely with senior management and across different functions.

Responsibilities
  1. 1. Accept client trading instructions and execute orders accurately and efficiently in accordance with internal procedures and applicable regulatory requirements. Support trading activities across different market sessions, including U.S. market trading hours, while ensuring execution quality, operational accuracy and timely client service.
  2. 2. Track market movements, macroeconomic data, and industry information in real time across both markets; promptly update clients on price fluctuations, liquidity, delivery rules, and margin rules; provide market interpretation and trading strategy advisory support.
  3. 3. Monitor client positions, margin, and risk exposure on a continuous basis; issue early risk warnings, send margin call notices in a timely manner, coordinate with Risk Management on risk mitigation and unusual-position communication, and prevent account deficits.
  4. 4. Strictly comply with Singapore MAS and other relevant regulations; standardize trading operations, client information retention, and abnormal trade reporting; implement anti-money laundering and client suitability compliance requirements.
  5. 5. Maintain familiarity with exchange rules, net capital requirements, and customer segregated fund arrangements in Singapore, United States or other jurisdictions; Cooperate with relevant teams on daily trading-related data reporting.
  6. 6. Leverage professional market expertise to develop potential clients as appropriate; participate in industry exchanges and client visits; provide futures hedging and cross-border derivatives solutions.
  7. 7. Maintain existing clients and develop new clients; regularly communicate trading needs and hedging or arbitrage requirements; continuously improve client trading activity and retention; deliver end-to-end trading support services.
  8. 8. Collect client business pain points and market needs and report them to the business head; collaborate with the team to complete basic processes such as client onboarding, access review, and due diligence.
  9. 9. Support business development and marketing initiatives, including attending industry conferences in Southeast Asia and organising marketing events in Singapore to promote the company's products and services.
  10. 10. Complete other futures business-related tasks assigned by management, such as market research, trading training, and cross-departmental coordination.
Required competencies and certifications
  • Pass in the relevant MAS-approved CMFAS examination(s) for dealing in exchange-traded derivatives, enabling registration as the Company’s Appointed Representative (AR).
Preferred competencies and qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in sales & trading, dealing, brokerage, operations, client servicing, or related financial services functions.
  • Good understanding of financial markets, exchange-traded products, and trading operations.
  • Familiarity with exchange trading and OTC rules, post-trade processes, and operational controls.
  • Knowledge of Singapore regulatory framework for capital markets intermediaries; exposure to other international regulatory regimes.
  • Experience in capital markets, derivatives, or brokerage businesses.
  • Experience in establishing and operationalizing new entity operations systems.
  • Strong communication, client relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent multi-stakeholder coordination skills to operate effectively in a multi-jurisdictional, highly regulated environment.
  • Ability to support U.S. time zone trading requirements.
Other Information
  • Spoken proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous for client communication and market engagement.
