Job summary

JDA WMS Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a proactive Sales Engineer to join our team. You will attend onboarding trainings, develop a strong understanding of our products, and provide technical consultation to customers by matching their requirements with our solutions.

You will conduct customer visits, support accounts, identify new business opportunities, and help drive territory strategies while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Interest in developing technical knowledge and applying engineering solutions to customer requirements.
• Interest or prior exposure to manufacturing, industrial or technical environments.

Responsibilities

• Attend structured product, technical and application training during the onboarding period.
• Develop understanding of products and solutions through training, seminars and on-the-job learning.
• Provide technical consultation to customers by understanding their requirements and recommending suitable products or solutions.
• Conduct customer visits and provide on-site technical support across accounts and territories.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned market.
• Respond promptly to customer enquiries and provide appropriate technical and commercial support.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Manage sales activities and contribute to territory/account strategies.
• Support introduction and promotion of new products and solutions.
• Work towards achieving sales targets and expanding market presence.
• Participate in seminars, exhibitions, trade shows and business development activities.
• Manage day-to-day sales activities independently and maintain team communication.
• Maintain records of customer activities, opportunities and sales information.
• Comply with company policies, procedures and sales processes.
• Undertake other relevant duties or projects as assigned.

• Provide technical consultation to customers by understanding their operational requirements and recommending suitable products or solutions.

• Conduct customer visits and provide on-site technical support across assigned accounts and territories.

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned market.

• Respond promptly to customer enquiries and provide appropriate technical and commercial support.

• Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and key stakeholders.

• Manage sales activities and contribute to the development of territory and account strategies.

• Support the introduction and promotion of new products and solutions within the assigned market.

• Work towards achieving sales targets and expanding market presence within the assigned territory.

• Participate in customer seminars, exhibitions, trade shows and other business development activities where required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Business or a related discipline is preferred.

• Interest in developing technical knowledge and applying engineering solutions to customer requirements.

• Interest or prior exposure to manufacturing, industrial or technical environments.

• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.

• Good listening and customer engagement skills, with the ability to understand and respond to customer requirements.

• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to customers from different backgrounds.

• Self-motivated and target-oriented, with the ability to work independently.

• Willingness to participate in structured training and continuously develop product and application knowledge.

• Comfortable with regular customer visits and travel within the assigned territory.

• Willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time, including the possibility of overnight travel.
