Job summary

JDB Design & Build Pte. Ltd. is seeking a dynamic Sales Designer at our Ang Mo Kio Town Centre studio.

This full-time role blends interior design expertise with client engagement to translate aspirations into practical solutions and compelling proposals. You will conduct site surveys, prepare detailed quotations, and collaborate with our design and build teams to deliver high-quality projects while nurturing lasting client relationships. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and CRM is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of interior design sales or client-facing design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D rendering tools.
• Strong understanding of design principles, spatial planning, materials, finishes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate concepts to clients.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and close sales.
• Knowledge of costing, budgeting, and project estimation.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Aesthetic sense with practical problem-solving.
• CRM experience and MS Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of local building regulations and compliance preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and self-motivated.

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Sales Designer to join our growing team at our Ang Mo Kio Town Centre location in the North-East Region. This is a full-time position that combines your passion for interior design with your ability to engage and convert clients. As a Sales Designer, you will be the crucial link between our clients' design aspirations and our delivery team. You will play a strategic role in understanding client needs, presenting compelling design solutions, and driving sales whilst maintaining the highest standards of design excellence. Key responsibilities

• Consult with prospective clients to understand their design preferences, requirements, budget constraints, and project timelines




• Prepare and present innovative interior design concepts and proposals, utilising design software and visual aids to communicate ideas effectively




• Conduct site surveys and measurements to ensure accurate and practical design solutions




• Develop detailed quotations and project specifications based on client requirements and company offerings




• Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the sales process and beyond, ensuring exceptional customer service




• Collaborate with the design and build teams to ensure feasibility and quality delivery of proposed designs




• Stay updated on current interior design trends, materials, and industry developments to inform client discussions




• Achieve and exceed sales targets whilst maintaining high design and service standards




• Prepare contracts, follow up on leads, and manage the sales pipeline effectively




• Provide post-project support and gather client feedback to inform continuous improvement

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field




• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in interior design sales or client-facing design roles




• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D rendering tools, or similar applications




• Strong understanding of design principles, spatial planning, materials, and finishes




• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate design concepts to clients of varying backgrounds




• Proven ability to manage client relationships and close sales whilst maintaining design integrity




• Sound knowledge of costing, budgeting, and project estimation




• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively




• A keen eye for aesthetics combined with practical problem-solving abilities




• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems is advantageous




• Knowledge of local building regulations, codes, and compliance requirements is preferred




• Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst being self-motivated and driven to achieve targets
