Job summary

MYD Pleasant Home Design Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Interior Designer for a full-time role in Singapore, based in the Paya Lebar East Region. You will develop creative design concepts, create drawings and 3D visuals, and present proposals for clients.

You will liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers to ensure projects meet timelines and budgets, while staying current with design trends and maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in interior design.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative interior design concepts and schemes for residential and commercial projects.
• Conduct client consultations to understand needs, preferences, budgets and timelines.
• Produce detailed design drawings, floor plans, 3D visualisations and presentations for client approval.
• Select materials, finishes, furniture and decor that align with concepts and client requirements.

About the role

We are seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join the team at MYD Pleasant Home Design Pte Ltd. This is a full-time position based in the Paya Lebar East Region. As an Interior Designer, you will play a crucial role in transforming spaces into beautiful, functional environments that exceed our clients' expectations. You will be at the heart of our design process, conceptualising and delivering innovative interior solutions that reflect current design trends whilst meeting practical and aesthetic requirements. This role is integral to our company's success and reputation for delivering exceptional design outcomes.

What you'll be doing

• Developing creative interior design concepts and schemes for residential and commercial projects
• Conducting client consultations to understand their needs, preferences, budgets and project timelines
• Producing detailed design drawings, floor plans, 3D visualisations and presentations for client approval
• Selecting appropriate materials, finishes, furniture and décor elements that align with design concepts and client requirements
• Managing project timelines and coordinating with contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
• Liaising with clients throughout the design and implementation process, providing updates and addressing any concerns or modifications
• Staying current with interior design trends, materials and technologies to ensure our designs remain innovative and competitive
• Preparing specifications and documentation required for project execution and procurement
• Collaborating with team members on design solutions and contributing to the overall creative vision of the company

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field
• Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in interior design or a related design discipline
• Proficiency with industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools
• Strong visual communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey design concepts clearly to clients
• Excellent understanding of colour theory, spatial planning, lighting design and material properties
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and design standards relevant to interior spaces
• Strong project management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are advantageous
• Creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities with an eye for detail and quality
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst also demonstrating initiative and independence
• A portfolio demonstrating previous interior design work and design capabilities
