Job summary

OKNICER ATELIER PTE. LTD. is seeking a creative Interior Designer / Sales Designer in Singapore to convert client leads into projects. You will translate client needs into design concepts, prepare quotations, and coordinate with project and site teams for a smooth handover.

Responsibilities include site visits, 2D layouts, 3D visuals coordination, and presenting proposals while negotiating terms. The role emphasizes client-focused selling and seamless project execution.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Interior Design, Architectural Design or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years of interior design, renovation or sales design experience preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/SketchUp; 3D rendering skills are a plus.
• Strong English and Mandarin communication for client consultations and project discussions.

• Handle company-provided client leads; converse with clients to understand design preferences, budget, and timelines.
• Develop design proposals, material selections, 2D layouts, and coordinate 3D visuals with the team.

Job Overview

We are looking for a creative and customer-focused Interior Designer / Sales Designer to join our team. You will handle company-provided client leads, understand clients' renovation needs, develop design proposals and quotations, and follow up to secure projects. You will also work closely with our project and site teams to ensure a smooth transition from approved designs to project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Client Consultation and Sales

• Manage company-provided leads and respond promptly to client enquiries.
• Meet with prospective clients to understand their design preferences, functional requirements, budget and timeline.
• Present design concepts, material selections and quotations clearly and professionally.
• Explain the proposed scope of work, specifications, pricing and payment terms.
• Follow up on proposals, address client questions and negotiate within approved terms.
• Convert enquiries into confirmed projects and work towards agreed sales targets.
• Maintain accurate records of enquiries, proposals and follow-up activities.

Interior Design and Proposals

• Conduct site visits and measurements where required to support design development.
• Develop practical and appealing design concepts, space plans, mood boards and material selections.
• Prepare 2D layouts and design presentations, and coordinate 3D visuals with the design team where required.
• Prepare quotations and project proposals aligned with clients' needs and budgets.
• Work with the project team to confirm that proposed designs are suitable for site conditions and feasible to construct.
• Revise proposals based on client feedback and obtain approval for final designs, materials and specifications.

Project Coordination and Client Support

• Hand over approved drawings, quotations and specifications to the project and site teams.
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to clarify design details during project execution.
• Attend site meetings where required and assist with resolving design-related questions.
• Communicate proposed changes to clients and obtain approval for variations and additional costs before implementation.
• Support the project team with client updates, payment follow-ups and handover arrangements.
• Maintain good client relationships throughout the design, sales and renovation process.

Requirements

• Applicants must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents.
• Diploma in Interior Design, Architectural Design or a related field, or equivalent relevant practical experience.
• Preferably 1-3 years of experience in interior design, renovation or sales design.
• Candidates with strong sales or customer service experience and relevant interior design knowledge are also welcome to apply.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp or equivalent design software. Skills in 3D rendering are an advantage.
• Ability to read floor plans and communicate design ideas clearly.
• Basic understanding of renovation materials, finishes and construction processes.
• Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin to support English- and Mandarin-speaking clients during design consultations and project discussions. Proficiency in Malay is an advantage.
• Good presentation, follow-up and negotiation skills.
• Organised, responsible and attentive to detail.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working towards sales targets.
• Able to work independently and collaborate with design, project and site teams.
• Able to attend client appointments and site visits as required.

• Basic monthly salary of SGD 2,800-3,500, commensurate with relevant experience and capabilities.
