Job summary

JCVL PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Safety Supervisor/Coordinator to monitor and enforce safety on construction sites. You will inspect daily operations, ensure corrective actions, and verify adherence to SWPs and RA processes to protect workers.

You will oversee high‑risk activities and contractor records, coordinate with ASM/PSM, and promote a proactive safety culture through clear communication and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B).
• At least 2 years of experience as Safety Supervisor/Coordinator in Singapore.
• Contractor site work experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions.
• Ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
• Supervise activities to comply with WSH Act, regulations and project safety requirements.
• Verify workers follow SWPs and risk assessments.
• Identify hazards and report during construction activities.
• Recommend and implement appropriate control measures.
• Communicate site hazards, control measures, and safety reminders to workers and supervisors.
• Supervise high-risk activities such as lifting, work at height, excavation, confined space, hot works, demolition and piling.
• Verify contractor Site Safety Records such as MSRA briefing, PTW, training records, and toolbox meeting records.
• Report unsafe conditions/acts immediately.
• Contact ASM/PSM for incidents and provide updates.
• Work closely with ASM/PSM to maintain a safe work environment.

Job Description:

2. To ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.

3. Supervise all work activities comply with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, WSH Regulations, and CAG project safety requirements.

4. Verify that workers follow safe work procedures (SWPs) and risk assessments (RAs).

5. Identify workplace hazards and report during construction activities.

6. Recommend and implement appropriate control measures.

7. Communicate site hazards, control measures, and safety reminders to workers and site supervisors.

8. Supervise High Risk activities such as; Lifting operations, Work at height, Excavation works, Confined space entry, Hot works, Demolition works a and Piling works

9. Verify the contractor Site Safety Records such as MSRA Briefing Record, Permit to Work (PTW), Training records and certificates and Toolbox meeting Record

10. Reporting unsafe conditions/unsafe act immediately.

11. To immediately contact the ASM/PSM of the incidents and provide updates.
