Job summary

APAX SOLUTIONS PTE LTD is seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator to assist in implementing and monitoring the company's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) management system on construction sites in Singapore.

You will conduct daily site safety inspections, coordinate safety inductions and toolbox talks, and liaise with clients and authorities to ensure compliance with WSH Act, MOM and BCA regulations. Proficiency in risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety training is essential.

• Good communication, problem-solving and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and monitoring the company's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) management system.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts or conditions.
• Ensure compliance with WSH regulations, company safety procedures and client safety requirements.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings and safety briefings for employees and subcontractors.
• Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure safe work practices are followed.
• Assist in investigating incidents, accidents and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, permits and statutory documentation.
• Coordinate safety audits and support corrective actions to improve safety performance
• Liaise with project teams, clients and relevant authorities on safety-related matters.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the reporting manager.

• Registered Workplace Safety & Health Coordinator (WSHC) is preferred.
• Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Familiar with Singapore's WSH Act, MOM and BCA regulations.
• Skilled in risk assessment, incident investigation, safety auditing and safety training.
• Good communication, problem-solving and reporting skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
