Job summary

Jiangxi Construction Development Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a Safety Coordinator to assist in implementing WSH policies at construction sites. You will conduct regular site inspections, ensure PPE usage, and coordinate with supervisors to maintain safety standards.

Job Description

• Assist in implementing and maintaining Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and procedures at construction sites.

• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards and unsafe work practices.

• Ensure workers comply with safety regulations, site rules and company safety procedures.

• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings and safety orientations for workers.

• Assist in preparing and maintaining Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and other safety-related documents.

• Monitor and follow up on corrective actions for safety observations and non-compliance issues.

• Report accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions to the relevant personnel.

• Coordinate with site supervisors, workers, subcontractors and the WSH team on safety matters.

• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at the construction site.

• Perform other safety-related duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Minimum [Nitec / Diploma] in Workplace Safety and Health or relevant qualification.

• Possess a valid WSH Coordinator Certificate or equivalent recognised qualification.

• Preferably with 1–2 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.

• Familiar with Singapore Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and construction site safety requirements.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Able to work independently and coordinate with site personnel.

• Responsible, proactive and attentive to safety matters.
