Job summary

BENG SIEW CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD is seeking a Safety Officer to plan, implement and oversee employee safety at work, ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety guidelines on site.

Key duties include conducting periodic safety inspections, ensuring statutory compliance, investigating incidents, maintaining audit-ready safety records, coordinating ISO/OHSAS programs, and promoting health and environmental standards across the site.

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic safety inspections to verify level of safety compliance and continuously improve safety standards.
• Ensure site compliance with statutory safety requirements and in-house safety rules, reporting deviations to the Project Manager.
• Investigate accidents/dangerous occurrences/incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Keep safety documentation current and ready for MOM, NEA or ISO audits.
• Support compliance with ISO 9000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
• Contribute to risk assessments and manage and review Management Programmes.
• Oversee sub-con safety and health matters on site.
• Prepare and submit site environment control programme and train staff on its purpose.
• Inspect facilities and equipment to maintain environmental health on site.
• Organise campaigns and training to sustain high environment health standards.
• Assist in meeting safety standards required by the site's developer.
• Prepare weekly safety reports and report lapses to Safety Officer.
• Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes.

Job Summary

You are responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing company's employee safety at work. Their main duty is to ensure that the company is in compliance and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines.

Duties & Responsibilities

• To conduct periodic safety inspection to verify level of safety compliance so that the safety standards are constantly improved.
• To ensure site compliance with statutory safety requirements and in-house safety rules and regulations and to report any deviations to the Project Manager for management consideration.
• To investigate any accident/ dangerous occurrence/ incident and recommend corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
• To ensure safety documentation is kept current and ready for MOM, NEA or ISO Audit.
• Carry out the works assigned for compliance with requirements of ISO 9000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
• Be involved in the evaluation of risk assessment and plan, manage and review Management Programmes
• Be involved in all the sub-con safety and health matters pertaining to the site.
• Prepare and submit the site environment control Programme and ensure that the staff and workers are aware and understand the intention.
• Inspect the site to ensure that all facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance of the environment health are in working condition
• Organise campaigns, training course to develop and sustain the interest of workers in maintaining good environment health standards
• To assist in achieving the safety standards required by the site's developer

Reports

• Prepare weekly safety report and report to Safety Officer on any safety lapse.
• Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes

• Fulfil any other duties as and when assigned by management
