Job summary

CHAN & CHAN ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is looking for a Safety Coordinator in Singapore to ensure compliance with the WSH Act. You will conduct daily site inspections, investigate safety incidents, and lead safety orientations.

The ideal candidate should possess WSQ certifications in Workplace Safety and Health and have at least 2 years of relevant experience. Team-oriented and detail-driven individuals who can start immediately are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of working experience in the related field.
• Able to start work immediately or within short notice.

Responsibilities

• Comply with and assist in implementing the requirements of the WSH Act.
• Inspect sites daily and prepare inspection reports.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and recommend remedial actions.
• Conduct in-house safety orientation for new joiners.
• Carry out risk assessments to identify safety hazards on-site.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

• Comply and assist in implementing the requirements of the WSH Act and all its subsidiary and statutory legal legislations.
• Inspection of site daily and take appropriate corrective actions, prepares inspection report for project team to take an immediate action.
• To investigate accidents / incidents / dangerous occurrences & put up reports & recommend remedial actions.
• Conduct in‑house safety orientation for all new joiners to the site, and also conduct daily tool box meeting.
• Inspect project sites to ensure safety measures are being carried out at all times.
• To conduct risk assessment and identify safety hazards on site.
• Work closely with WSHO and safety personnel to ensure safety are compliance.
• Any ad-hoc job assigned by superior.
• To participate in mass safety talk, tool box meeting and housekeeping.

Requirements

• WSQ in Workplace Safety and Health.
• WSQ Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health.
• Minimum 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Knowledge of ISO and OSHA safety standard.
• Team oriented, attentive to details and organized.
• A fast worker who is able to deliver under tight timelines.
