Job summary

LANDMARK E&C PTE. LTD. is seeking a proactive Safety Officer to assist in implementing and maintaining the company’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies across sites in Singapore.

The role involves conducting regular inspections, identifying hazards, coordinating safety trainings, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, PPE usage and meticulous record-keeping. 5.5 days work week with opportunities to contribute to a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Singapore WSH requirements and safe work practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible, organized and detail-oriented.
• Able to work independently and coordinate with different departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and maintaining the company's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and identify unsafe conditions, acts and potential hazards.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions to ensure safety issues are properly addressed.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings and safety inductions for workers.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining risk assessments, Safe Work Procedures (SWP), permits and other safety documentation.
• Monitor workers' compliance with company safety rules and statutory requirements.
• Investigate workplace incidents, near misses and unsafe practices, and assist in preparing incident reports.
• Coordinate safety training, inspections and safety-related activities.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment.
• Liaise with supervisors, workers, contractors and relevant authorities on safety matters when required.
• Maintain proper records of safety inspections, training, incidents and corrective actions.
• Promote a strong safety culture and continuously improve workplace safety practices.
