Job summary

INFRASTRUCTURE & FACILITY SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking a Safety Coordinator to conduct daily site safety inspections and ensure compliance with WSH (Construction) Regulations.

You will liaise with subcontractors, maintain safety records, and coordinate PTW processes across multiple project sites. Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of WSH experience in construction or M&E preferred.
• Familiar with WSH regulations, RA, SWP, PTW processes and site safety requirements.
• Good communication and coordination with project teams, subcontractors and workers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and address non-compliance with EHS standards.
• Maintain and monitor EHS records, documentation and checklists.
• Act as Safety Assessor for high-risk activities and ensure PTW usage.
• Liaise with subcontractors to ensure compliance with WSH requirements and site rules.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain WSH records including site inspection reports and safety training records.
• Monitor workers’ safety training and site access requirements.
• Coordinate implementation of safety procedures and risk controls at sites.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings on hazards and controls.
• Monitor compliance with RA, SWP and PTW requirements for activities.
• Ensure adherence to PPE and site safety rules by supervisors and workers.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness with relevant services and interfacing contractors.

Job description

Job Responsibility

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and take appropriate action to address non-compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) standards, regulations, and site requirements.
• Maintain and monitor EHS records, documentation, inspection checklists, and other relevant safety documents.
• Act as a Safety Assessor to assess and inspect work areas involving high-risk construction activities, and ensure that work commences under the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system in accordance with applicable requirements under the WSH (Construction) Regulations.
• Liaise with subcontractors to ensure that their work activities comply with applicable WSH requirements, approved safety procedures, and site safety rules.
• Investigate site incidents, accidents, and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive measures to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain and update WSH records, including site inspection reports, toolbox meeting attendance, incident reports, and safety training records.
• Monitor workers' safety training, certifications, and site access requirements to ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate the implementation of workplace safety procedures, safe work practices, and risk control measures at project sites.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings to communicate workplace hazards, risk control measures, and safe work practices to workers and subcontractors.
• Monitor compliance with Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and Permit-to-Work requirements for relevant work activities.
• Ensure supervisors and workers comply with approved safe work procedures, PPE requirements, and established site safety rules.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and response arrangements with relevant emergency services, including the Police, medical services, emergency response personnel, and interfacing contractors, where applicable.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Nitec, Higher Nitec, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
• Possess a valid WSH Coordinator training certificate or other relevant safety qualifications, as required for the role.
• Minimum 1-3 years of relevant WSH experience in the construction or M&E industry will be an advantage.
• Familiar with Singapore WSH legislation, Risk Assessment (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, and construction site safety requirements.
• Good communication and coordination skills to liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and workers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to work independently at different project sites.
