Job summary

MEPTech Groups Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Safety Coordinator to oversee workplace safety across construction sites in Singapore. You will conduct inspections, prepare risk assessments and ensure compliance with WSH regulations and PPE requirements.

The role requires a Diploma/Certificate in WSH or related field, 2+ years in construction safety, strong communication and report-writing skills, and willingness to travel between sites. Driving licence preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health or related field.
• WSH qualification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of safety experience in construction/engineering.
• Good knowledge of Singapore WSH requirements.
• Experience in Risk Assessments, SWPs and site inspections.
• Strong communication, coordination and report-writing skills.

Job Description

• Coordinate and monitor workplace safety and health requirements at construction and project sites.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify hazards and unsafe work practices.
• Assist in preparing and implementing Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures and Method Statements.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings and worker safety inductions.
• Ensure workers comply with WSH regulations, site safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Monitor high-risk activities and recommend appropriate safety control measures.
• Assist with accident, incident and near-miss investigations and prepare safety reports.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training records and other WSH documentation.
• Liaise with project managers, supervisors, workers, subcontractors and clients on safety matters.
• Follow up on corrective actions arising from inspections, audits and safety observations.
• Travel to different project sites to conduct safety inspections and support site operations.
• Drive company vehicle to project sites and for work-related activities when required.

Requirements

• Diploma / Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health, Engineering, Construction or a related field.
• Relevant WSH / Safety Coordinator qualification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant safety experience in construction or engineering.
• Good knowledge of Singapore Workplace Safety and Health requirements.
• Experience in Risk Assessment, Safe Work Procedures and site safety inspections.
• Good communication, coordination and report-writing skills.
• Able to work independently and visit multiple project sites.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Valid Singapore Class 3 Driving License.
• Willing to travel between project sites.
