Job summary

Akila Global Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Rigger & Signalman to support engineering, maintenance, lifting, and project works in Singapore. The role involves rigging, signaling, guiding crane operations, and ensuring safe lifting activities at project sites.

The ideal candidate should have relevant technical qualifications or hands-on experience, with lifting and safety certifications where applicable, and willingness to work at various customer sites across Singapore.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical or vocational education in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Certifications in rigging and signaling are preferred.
• Experience with lifting plans and safety procedures.
• Ability to work at customer sites across Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Carry out rigging and signaling duties for lifting operations.
• Select and use appropriate lifting gear and accessories per requirements.
• Inspect lifting gear before use and report defects.
• Guide crane operators and ensure safe load handling.
• Follow lifting plans, method statements, risk assessments, and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with lifting supervisors, crane operators, and site personnel.
• Maintain safe exclusion zones and keep work areas clear.
• Report unsafe conditions or hazards immediately.
