Job summary

CPC CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a professional to take ownership of lifting and erection planning for crawler and mobile cranes on-site in Singapore.

You will prepare and review lifting plans, method statements, risk assessments, and safe work procedures in coordination with project and operations teams. The role requires certification as an Appointed Person for Lifting Operations, strong knowledge of lifting safety, crane operations, and HSE standards, and the ability to read engineering

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Appointed Person for Lifting Operations (IES Academy) certification.
• Experience in construction, lifting operations, crane operations, or structural erection is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of lifting safety, crane operations, rigging, and HSE requirements.
• Familiar with Singapore workplace safety and health regulations and lifting safety standards.
• Proficient in MS Project for planning and scheduling.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and project specs.
• Strong coordination, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for preparing and coordinating lifting and erection plans for crawler and mobile cranes.
• Prepare, review, and maintain lifting plans, method statements, risk assessments, and safe work procedures.
• Plan lifting work sequences, schedules, manpower, and site requirements with project and operations teams.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Lifting Supervisors, Crane Operators, Riggers, Signalmen, and subcontractors.
• Act as the key engineering contact for site lifting and erection activities.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure HSE compliance and lifting procedures.
• Assess site conditions and lifting risks; implement corrective measures.
• Review drawings, specs, and lifting requirements; provide engineering input.
• Coordinate crane positioning, lifting zones, and erection sequences.
• Conduct technical checks on procedures and calculations; submit technical docs.
• Provide engineering support to resolve site issues and ensure safe lifting activities.
• Maintain documentation and records relating to lifting and erection activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Project Manager or Management.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and maintain lifting plans, method statements, risk assessments, and safe work procedures for lifting and erection activities.
• Plan lifting work sequences, schedules, manpower, and site requirements in coordination with the project and operations teams.
• Coordinate closely with Site Engineers, Lifting Supervisors, Crane Operators, Riggers, Signalmen, and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient lifting operations.
• Act as the key engineering contact for site lifting and erection activities.
• Conduct regular site inspections and walkabouts to ensure compliance with HSE requirements, lifting procedures, regulatory requirements, and client standards.
• Assess site conditions and lifting risks, and implement appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
• Review engineering drawings, project specifications, lifting requirements, and technical documents, providing engineering input and recommendations.
• Coordinate crane positioning, lifting zones, access arrangements, and erection sequences.
• Conduct technical and discipline checks on procedures, method statements, calculations, and technical submissions.
• Provide engineering support in resolving site issues and ensure lifting activities are carried out safely and in accordance with approved procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation and records relating to lifting and erection activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Possess Appointed Person for Lifting Operations (IES Academy) certification.
• Relevant experience in construction, lifting operations, crane operations, or structural erection will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of lifting safety, crane operations, rigging practices, and HSE requirements.
