Job summary

Talent First is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee daily operations and maintenance for a mall in Central area. You will implement preventive maintenance, monitor regulatory compliance, and manage vendor performance to ensure facilities run smoothly.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Building/Facilities Management, at least 1 year in Retail Management, and a proactive attitude. Familiarity with MCST and BMSMA regulations is preferred; the position offers the chance to contribute to

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Building/Facilities/M&E or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of experience in Retail Management.
Possess initiative and a positive working attitude.
Experienced in MCST buildings and familiar with BMSMA regulations.

Responsibilities

Execute daily operations and maintenance strategy of the mall to keep facilities immaculate.
Monitor and implement preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
Ensure vendors comply with all authority regulations including health and safety standards for the MCST.
Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and maintain compliance.
Manage the facilities budget and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
Assist in recovering utilities arrears of tenants to control MCST exposure.
Adhere to ESG targets set by the corporation.
Engage with tenants daily to build rapport and ensure fitouts comply with approved plans and authority requirements.
Assist in organizing EOGMs and AGMs and ensure successful meetings.
Manage term contracts and renewals with vendors to maintain performance.
