Job summary

PeopleLake Consulting PTE. LTD. is hiring for a Storekeeper role in Singapore to manage daily retail stockroom operations and inventory. You will receive goods, organize backroom storage, and execute rapid floor replenishment to keep shelves stocked for customers.

Responsibilities include inspecting deliveries, updating stock records, and reporting discrepancies. Applicants should be Singaporean or PR and able to work weekend/holiday shifts with basic POS knowledge and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of retail inventory, stockroom, or merchandising experience preferred, entry-level with willingness to learn welcome.
• Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident status required.
• Willingness to work shifts including weekends, public holidays, and peak periods.
• Basic familiarity with retail inventory software or POS inventory modules.
• Physical stamina to stand long and lift/move up to 15kg.

About our client:

A food manufacturer and packaging company based in Singapore.

About the role:

To execute the daily retail stockroom and inventory operations. In this role, you are the backbone of our physical store’s inventory management. You will be responsible for receiving goods from suppliers, maintaining an organized and accurate backroom, and executing rapid stock replenishment to ensure the retail floor is always ready for customers.

Responsibilities:

Inbound Receiving & Floor Replenishment

• Receive and carefully inspect all incoming deliveries for quality and quantity against initial purchase orders and supplier invoices.
• Transfer merchandise safely and efficiently from the receiving bay to the backroom storage area.
• Execute fast-paced replenishment of goods onto the retail shop floor, ensuring shelves and promotional displays are always fully stocked.
• Document and report any stock discrepancies, damaged goods, or inventory shortages to the Store Manager promptly.

Inventory & Quality Control

• Perform regular physical cycle counts and assist with comprehensive store-wide stock audits.
• Accurately log stock movements and update records using our retail inventory tracking software.
• Follow strict scanning and logging protocols to support stock accuracy and prevent out-of-stock situations on the sales floor.

Operations & Space Management

• Follow established procedures for the safe storage and retrieval of goods to maximize vertical space utilization in the stockroom.
• Organize physical storage spaces, ensuring safe access and efficient picking routes around stockroom shelving and bin layouts.
• Adhere strictly to operational shift hours to effectively satisfy standard retail operating hours and peak weekend foot traffic.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe backroom environment that complies with health and safety regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Singapore CitizenorPermanent Resident (PR)status.
• 1–3 years of retail inventory, stockroom, or merchandising experience (entry-level candidates with a strong willingness to learn are also welcome).
• Flexibility towork shift rostersthat cover weekends, public holidays, and peak retail promotional periods (e.g., festive seasons, mall-wide sales).
• Basic familiarity with retail inventory software or Point of Sale (POS) inventory modules.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and safely assist with lifting or moving heavy goods (up to 15kg)
• High attention to detail to ensure stock accuracy and proper documentation.
• Experience assisting with visual merchandising or shop floor layout is an added advantage.
• Certification in workplace safety and health (WSH) or basic first aid is ad added advantage.
