Job summary

GFM VIVO CITY PTE. LTD. is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support daily front-of-house operations and lead a service team in a busy Singapore restaurant. You will coordinate shifts, manage reservations and ensure high-quality guest experiences.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication and the ability to train staff while maintaining service standards and profitability. This position follows a 5-day work week with a focus on guest satisfaction and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Must have relevant experience in restaurant operations or hospitality.
• Previous experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, Service Supervisor or similar role.
• Strong leadership, customer-service and communication skills.
• Able to supervise, train and motivate a service team.
• Good understanding of restaurant service, cashiering and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in managing daily front-of-house operations.
• Supervise and coordinate the service team during each shift.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings and assign duties to team members.
• Monitor employee attendance, grooming, conduct and performance.
• Ensure guests receive prompt, friendly and professional service.
• Manage reservations, queues, seating arrangements and table turnover.
• Handle customer feedback and resolve service issues professionally.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure accurate and timely service.
• Monitor dining-room cleanliness, table presentation and service-station readiness.
• Train, coach and guide supervisors and service employees.
• Assist with preparing staff schedules and arranging manpower coverage.
• Monitor inventory levels for front-of-house supplies.
• Ensure employees follow cash-handling and payment procedures.
• Assist with daily sales reconciliation, reports and closing procedures.
• Support sales-building activities, promotions and upselling initiatives.
• Enforce food hygiene, workplace safety and company procedures.
• Assist with stock checks and control unnecessary wastage.
• Report maintenance, staffing and operational issues promptly.
• Take charge of restaurant operations when the Restaurant Manager is unavailable.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the Restaurant Manager or senior management.

Able to manage customer complaints calmly and professionally.

Familiar with point-of-sale systems, payment handling and sales reconciliation.

Strong organisational, problem-solving and time-management skills.

Able to work independently and perform well under pressure.

Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as scheduled.

Working Hours

5-day work week

44 working hours per week

Shift hours will be scheduled according to operational requirements.
