Job summary

SAMSUNG C&T CORPORATION in Singapore seeks an experienced Architect to review drawings, supervise on-site architectural works and ensure compliance with drawings, specs, LTA requirements and contractual terms. You will coordinate with Architectural Consultant, Design team, Contractors and subcontractors, conduct site inspections, manage RFIs, defects, and handover activities.

The role requires 8+ years in architecture, RT(O) Architecture registration, and 6 months of on-site presence before

Qualifications

• 8+ years of architectural experience with a recognised Architecture qualification.
• 5+ years of construction supervision on large scale projects, preferably LTA, rail, infrastructure or major building projects in Singapore.
• Registered Resident Technical Officer (Architecture) with relevant experience, meeting client requirements for LTA projects.
• Good knowledge of architectural construction, materials, finishes and site coordination.
• Familiar with LTA requirements, specifications, submissions, inspections and construction documentation.
• Good communication and coordination skills with Consultants, Contractors and LTA project teams.
• Full-time on-site presence required from 6months prior to BSC until CWW is obtained.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, specifications and details, and monitor changes.
• Coordinate with Architectural Consultant, Design team, Contractor, subcontractors and stakeholders on site matters.
• Monitor and supervise architectural works for compliance with drawings, specs, LTA requirements and contracts.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor workmanship, materials and construction quality.
• Inspect and follow up on Inspection Requests, material submissions, shop drawings, samples and mock-ups.
• Monitor defects, non-conforming works and rectification works.
• Coordinate and follow up on architectural RFIs, technical queries and site issues.
• Monitor interfaces with structural, M&E, civil, railway systems and other works.
• Highlight delays, coordination issues and site constraints to stakeholders.
• Provide daily/weekly updates to the LTA Architectural Team on progress and issues.
• Attend site/progress meetings and update on architectural works.
• Assist in monitoring testing, completion, defects and handover of architectural works.
• Maintain proper records of inspections, submissions, site observations, defects and rectifications.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of relevant architectural experience with a recognised qualification in Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of construction supervision experience on projects of similar scale and complexity, preferably LTA, rail, infrastructure or major building projects in Singapore.
• Registered Resident Technical Officer (Architecture) with relevant experience, meeting client requirements for LTA projects.
