Job summary

DAEWOO-DONGAH JOINT VENTURE in Singapore seeks a Resident Technical Officer with extensive architectural background to supervise site activities and report to RE and SRE. The role requires ensuring compliance with drawings, risk assessments, and safety standards while coordinating with contractors and subcontractors on a busy construction site.

Applicants should have a recognized Diploma and at least 8 years of architectural experience, including 5 years in supervising projects of similar scale.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction activities and ensure compliance with plans, drawings, risk assessments and specifications.
• Prepare daily site reports and liaise with RE, SRE and QPS on site activities and incidents.
• Ensure contractor and subcontractor compliance with client safety requirements and checklists.
• Assist in managing field records and documentation for site changes and construction schedules.
• Carry out standing supervision for critical site activities and report non-conformances to RE.

Job Description:

• Minimum 8 years of architectural experience with recognized Diploma in relevant field, and at least 5 years of experience in construction supervision for projects of similar scale and complexity in local context.
• Work as Resident Technical Officer to our LTA projects, to assist and report to RE and SRE to monitor all site activities, and any incident, including near misses. Report any non-compliance to RE and Qualified Person Supervision (QPS).
• Assist Engineer in carrying out supervision for related works include but not limited to replacement and extension, construction and reconfiguration of viaduct/bridge works, and associated civil works, proposed new flexible pavement and infrastructure, re-alignment of roadways, fencing and construction.
• Prepare daily reports at regular basic and as required by clients.
• Supervise all construction activities and ensure compliance to all plans/drawings, risk assessment and specifications.
• Willing to work on rotation shifts.
• Ensure compliance to all health and safety policies.
• Ensure that contractor and their subcontractor comply with client's safety requirement, and safety checklists are follow.
• Reject poor quality of works at site and inform RE to raise non-conformance notice.
• Assist RE to manage and maintain records and documentation on field or site changes and to monitor adherence to construction schedule.
• Carryout standing supervision for critical site activities based.
• Preferably PR and Singaporean.
