Job summary

CHINA COMMUNICATIONS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY LIMITED (Singapore Branch) is seeking a Resident Technical Officer (Architecture) for on-site supervision in Tampines. The role requires a full-time commitment on site, with extensive architectural and construction supervision experience in projects of similar scale and complexity in Singapore.

Candidates should hold a recognised Diploma and have at least 8 years of architectural experience, with no less than 6 months break before completing the project

Qualifications

• 8+ years of architectural experience with a relevant Diploma.
• At least 5 years in construction supervision for projects of similar scale and complexity in local context.
• Resident Technical Officer (Architecture) shall be dedicated full time on site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise architectural works and ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and contract requirements.
• Inspect workmanship, materials and finishes; identify defects and ensure rectification.
• Check shop drawings and material submissions; coordinate with other trades.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors and consultants; monitor progress and report site issues.
• Maintain daily site reports, inspection records and photographs; assist with defects and handover.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Site Supervision– Supervise architectural works and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
• Quality Inspection– Inspect workmanship, materials and finishes; identify defects and ensure proper rectification.
• Technical Coordination– Check shop drawings, material submissions and architectural details; coordinate interfaces with other trades.
• Contractor Coordination– Liaise with contractors, subcontractors and consultants, monitor progress and report site issues to the RA/QP.
• Site Records & Handover– Maintain daily reports, inspection records and photographs; assist with defects, completion and project handover.
• Perform duties assigned by superior.

Job Specification:

• Minimum 8 years of architectural experience with recognised Diploma in relevant field.
• At least 5 years of experience in construction supervision for projects of similar scale and complexity in local context.
• The Resident Technical Officer(Architecture) shall be dedicated full time on Site, not less than 6 months before BSC until CWW is obtained.
• Location: Tampines.
