Resident Technical Officer (M&E)

Job summary

Surbana Jurong Group is seeking an experienced Resident Technical Officer to supervise and QA M&E works on site in Singapore. You will coordinate with Consultants/Clients and lead interface with RE/RTO for multiple disciplines.

The role requires 5–8 years of M&E on-site experience, strong coordination and communication skills, and a proactive team-player attitude. On-site practice and adherence to drawings, specs, and safety are essential.

Qualifications

• ITE/Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Registered with IES / ACES as a Resident Technical Officer.
• Minimum 5-8 years of M&E work experience as a Resident Technical Officer.
• Conversant in local construction practices in air-conditioning, electrical, ELV, fire protection, plumbing and sanitary services, BMS.
• Good coordination skills.
• Good analytical ability with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive and team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist Consultants/ Professional Engineers in supervision and QA of construction works on site.
• Provide standing supervision as required by Consultants / Clients.
• Ensure installation methods and materials align with approved drawings and specifications.
• Liaise and close coordination with RE and RTO of other disciplines.
• Liaise with contractors/ sub-contractors in the coordination of site works.
• Highlight discrepancies, resolve site M&E issues and monitor site progress.
• Feedback site progress and irregularities to Consultants / Clients.
• Attend site meetings, site inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Check as-built drawings to tally with site installation.
• Ensure the contractors maintain work safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the site.
• Document site records, ie. Inspection records, T&C records, site meetings etc.
