Job summary

PROSKILL WORKFORCE PTE. LTD. invites applications for a Resident Technical Officer (Electrical / ICA) based in Kranji, Singapore. This is a Full-Time, two-year contract with potential extension and a total project span of about four years.

The role requires a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, RTO registration with IES/JAC, and at least 5 years of site supervision experience in water or wastewater projects, focusing on Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation works.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Must be registered as an RTO with IES/JAC and meet BCA registration requirements.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant site supervision experience, preferably in water/wastewater projects.
• Experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (ICA).
• Familiar with construction regulations, site inspection procedures, and QA requirements.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and with project teams.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties as a Qualified Site Supervisor (RTO) per Building Control Act.
• Assist the Resident Engineer (RE) in supervising site works and ensure compliance with specs, drawings, and codes.
• Review design calculations and drawings at site with the RE.
• Monitor construction progress and provide regular site progress updates.
• Conduct inspections and maintain documentation of inspection/testing per BCA requirements.
• Coordinate and witness FAT and SAT.
• Inspect and verify completed works for payments per the RE's recommendation.
• Ensure QA and compliance with regulatory and project requirements.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Job Title: Resident Technical Officer (Electrical / ICA)
Location: Kranji, Singapore
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract
Contract Duration: Initial 2-year contract, with possible extension (subject to client's approval and project progress). Overall project duration is approximately 4 years.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8.30am - 5.30pm

• Saturday: 8.30am - 12.30pm

• Transport pick-up and drop-off provided at Kranji MRT Station.

Probation Period: 6 months
Notice Period: 1 month during probation; 2 months after confirmation.

Job Responsibilities

• Carry out duties and responsibilities as a Qualified Site Supervisor (RTO) in accordance with the Building Control Act.

• Assist the Resident Engineer (RE) in supervising site works and ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved drawings and relevant codes.

• Review design calculations and drawings at site in coordination with the RE.

• Monitor construction progress and provide regular site progress updates.

• Conduct inspections and maintain proper documentation of inspection and testing activities in accordance with BCA requirements.

• Coordinate and witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).

• Inspect and verify completed works for the RE's recommendation on contractor progress payments.

• Ensure quality assurance and compliance with relevant regulatory and project requirements.

• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

• Must be registered as an RTO with IES/JAC and meet applicable BCA registration requirements.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant site supervision experience, preferably in water or wastewater treatment plant projects.

• Relevant experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (ICA) works.

• Familiarity with construction regulations, site inspection procedures and quality assurance requirements.

• Self-motivated, proactive, diligent and able to work independently and collaboratively with project teams.

• Good communication and coordination skills.
