Job summary

Navsar Engineering International Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a seasoned E&I Lead to plan, oversee, and execute construction, testing and commissioning activities for energy and infrastructure projects.

You will ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance across all project phases, guiding engineers, subcontractors, and site personnel. The role emphasizes strong leadership, knowledge of PLC/DCS/SCADA systems, and the ability to manage schedules, budgets, and technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Systems Engineering, or Diploma with required experience.
• Experience in E&I construction, commissioning, and maintenance in industrial environments.
• Knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and industrial control systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage E&I construction, testing, and commissioning activities to meet milestones and quality standards.
• Lead and supervise E&I engineers, subcontractors, and site personnel for safe project execution.
• Monitor project schedules and budgets, taking corrective actions to meet targets.
• Prepare and review technical documents, methodologies, and project plans for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to engineering standards, regulations, and client specifications throughout project phases.
• Conduct site inspections, quality audits, and commissioning activities to verify compliance and performance.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and vendors to resolve technical issues and enable smooth project delivery.
• Investigate E&I equipment failures, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and implement Risk Assessments and Safe Work Procedures to maintain a strong safety culture.
• Promote and enforce HSE compliance across all project activities.
• Provide immediate technical support during plant emergencies to resolve issues promptly.
• Develop and enhance E&I operating procedures and maintenance practices to improve reliability.
• Mentor and assess E&I engineers, identifying training needs to build team capability.
• Participate in project meetings, technical reviews, and audits to support governance.

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Systems Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR Diploma in Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience
• Proven experience in E&I construction, commissioning, and maintenance within industrial environments
• Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and industrial control systems
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Commitment to safety and quality standards

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in power generation, waste-to-energy, or process plant facilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering documentation systems
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and effective communication skills
• Self-motivated and resourceful with willingness to work extended hours as required
