Job summary

Thymn Pte Ltd seeks an experienced Resident Technical Officer to lead site supervision and ensure compliance on multi-disciplinary building works at 80 Tuas South Boulevard. The role requires coordinating with authorities, contractors and consultants, reviewing drawings, and producing daily site reports.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering, has at least 10 years as an RTO, and is registered with IES/BCA.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• 10 years of experience as a Resident Technical Officer.
• Familiar with extensive A&A works in operational buildings.
• Strong knowledge of Building Control Act and Regulations.
• Experience in civil works, plumbing, sanitary, drainage, sewer systems, ERSS, demolition and RC piling.
• Registered with IES/BCA as a Resident Technical Officer.

Responsibilities

• Review and endorse drawings from authorities and contractors.
• Provide endorsements as required by authorities.
• Supervise all site works including civil, architectural, plumbing, sanitary, drainage and sewer systems.
• Oversee full-time supervision for new building erection works.
• Coordinate with contractors, QP(S), QP(D), agencies, interfacing contractors, and consultants.
• Maintain accurate site records: variation works, inspections, progress reports, safety compliance.
• Prepare daily contractor activity and manpower reports.
• Review formwork structures and submit PE-endorsed reports.
• Monitor safety, environmental and health compliance on site.
• Supervise installation of instrumentation.
• Perform shift duties as assigned by the Resident Engineer.

Working Hour: 0800hrs to 1700hrs (Weekdays), 0800hrs to 1200hrs (Saturday)

About the Role

As a key member of our site team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and endorse all drawings from authorities and contractors.
• Provide necessary endorsements as required by relevant authorities.
• Supervise all site works, including civil, architectural, plumbing, sanitary, drainage, and sewer systems.
• Oversee full-time supervision for new building erection works
• Coordinate with contractors, QP(S), QP(D), agencies, interfacing contractors, and consultants.
• Maintain accurate and updated site records, including variation works, inspections, progress reports, and safety compliance.
• Prepare daily reports on contractor activities and site manpower status.
• Review and assess formwork structures and support systems; submit evaluation reports endorsed by a PE.
• Monitor safety, environmental, and health compliance on site.
• Supervise installation of instrumentation.
• Perform shift duties as assigned by the Resident Engineer and handle administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Resident Technical Officer.
• Familiar with extensive A&A works in operational buildings.
• Strong knowledge of Building Control Act and Regulations; able to maintain systematic site records and reporting.
• Experience in: Civil works, plumbing, sanitary, drainage, sewer systems
  ERSS (deep excavation), demolition, and reinforced concrete piling works
  Supervising architectural works
• Registered with IES/BCA as a Resident Technical Officer.
