Job summary

Yexel is seeking a Resident Engineer assistant with a Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering and RTOP certification. The role requires strong supervision skills on site, detailed progress reporting, and coordination with design and regulatory teams.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in construction, experience with steel and precast work, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Word, and Excel. Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering accepted for PE Board registration in Singapore.
• IES/ACES accreditation with valid RTOP certificate.
• 8+ years of construction experience, preferably steel and precast building construction.
• Familiarity with local Civil/Structural regulations and codes.

Responsibilities

• Assist Resident Engineer in supervision and site inspection.
• Monitor progress schedules and on-site safety and quality.
• Maintain and update site records on project progress.
• Inspect quality of architectural finishes and delivered materials.
• Check drawings including authority submissions and shop drawings; ensure compliance.

• Recognized Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering acceptable for registration with the PE Board, Singapore.
• Accredited with IES/ACES with a valid Resident Technical Officer Practicing Certificate.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in construction, preferably in steel and precast building construction.
• Must be familiar with local Regulations/Codes for Civil and Structural related to building projects.
• A good team player and experience in assisting Resident Engineer in supervision.
• Ability to resolve site and technical issues, prepare and document detailed site progress reports.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD are preferred.

Job Requirements

• Assist the Resident Engineer in supervision and inspection of construction work on site
• Monitor project progress schedule and quality standards, ensure safety on site
• Maintain and update site records on project progress
• Inspect and monitor quality of architectural finishing material delivered to site
• Check all drawings (including authority submission drawings and shop drawings)
• Ensure works are carried out in accordance to statutory requirements
