Job summary

A-STAR TESTING & INSPECTION (S) PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced civil/structural engineer to lead supervision of major construction works.

The role focuses on buildings, structural steel, and drainage projects, ensuring compliance with codes and quality standards. The candidate will oversee CCS site staff, coordinate with clients and project consultants, and demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills to deliver on-site supervision and reporting

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant civil/structural engineering experience.
• At least 5 years in supervision of works on projects similar in size and complexity.
• Accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the IES and ACE Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Lead CCS site staff to monitor, supervise and inspect works as directed by CLIENT, QP(S), QP(Geo) and/or project consultants and FUI owners.
• Conversant with statutory codes and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedures, construction administration and submission of progress reports.
• Possess strong supervision and leadership skills.

Job description

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience as a civil C structural engineer, of which at least 5 years shall be in supervision of works in projects similarin size and complexity; in particular major construction works in buildings, structural steel works and drainage.
• Possess a civil and structural engineering degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
• Be accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore.
• For supervision of T5A roof, RE (CCS) with supervision experience in long span steel roof of more than 40m span is preferred.
• Lead CCS site staff to monitor, supervise and inspect works as directed by CLIENT, QP(S), QP(Geo) and/or the project consultants and FUIowners. He must possess good leadership qualities, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Conversant with statutory code andrequirements for site supervision, quality control procedures, construction administration and submission of progress report.
• Possess strong supervision and leadership skills.
