Job summary

Bureau Veritas Buildings & Infrastructure PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Civil & Structural leader to oversee the supervision team and ensure successful project delivery in Singapore.

The role requires extensive experience in major construction works, strong knowledge of PSSCOC contracts, and proven leadership to coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders on large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering recognized by PE B Singapore.
• Accredited by JAC of IES and ACES.
• 20+ years of Civil & Structural engineering experience, incl. 15+ years on large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Civil & Structural supervision team to deliver projects.
• Provide direction to achieve objectives as per Superintending Officer and consultants.
• Oversee major construction works: buildings, structural steel, drainage.
• Ensure works comply with design, safety, quality, and contracts.
• Administer contracts under PSSCOC.
• Manage QSS manpower per project schedule.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Ensure welfare and effective use of site supervision personnel.

Job Description

Lead and manage the Civil & Structural (C&S) supervision team to ensure successful project delivery.

Provide overall direction and management to achieve project objectives in accordance with requirements set by the Superintending Officer and consultants.

Oversee major construction works involving buildings, structural steel works, and drainage systems.

Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with design specifications, safety standards, quality requirements, and contractual obligations.

Administer contracts in accordance with Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC).

Manage and oversee Quality Site Supervision (QSS) manpower deployment based on project schedules.

Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Ensure the welfare, performance, and effective utilization of site supervision personnel.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore.
• Accredited by the Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES).
• Minimum 20 years of relevant Civil & Structural engineering experience, including at least 15 years on projects of similar scale and complexity.
• Extensive experience in major construction projects involving buildings, structural steel works, and drainage works.
• Minimum 5 years of continuous employment with the current Contractor.
• Strong knowledge and experience in contract administration under PSSCOC.
• Proven leadership, project management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Strong commitment to technical excellence, safety, and quality standards.
