Job summary

Bureau Veritas Buildings & Infrastructure PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced civil & structural engineer to lead on-site supervision for major construction projects in Singapore.

You will oversee civil/structural works, ensure compliance with specs and regulations, and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve site issues. The role requires a PEB-recognized degree, IES/ACES accreditation, and at least 8 years of relevant experience with 5 years in site supervision on

Qualifications

• Degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore.
• Accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) of IES/ACES.
• Min. 8 years in civil/structural eng; 5+ years on similar-site supervision.
• Experience in major building construction, structural steel, drainage.
• Supervision of long-span steel roofs (>40m) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of statutory requirements, QC, and exec admin.
• Proven leadership and effective team management.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, statutory requirements, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with the Client, QP(S), QP(Geo), consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve site and technical issues.
• Oversee major building construction works, including structural steel and drainage works.
• Monitor project progress and maintain proper site records, inspection reports, and progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with site supervision requirements, construction procedures, and safety regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the site supervision team.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore.
• Accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in civil and structural engineering, including at least 5 years of site supervision experience on projects of similar scale and complexity.
• Experience in major building construction projects, structural steel works, and drainage works.
• Experience in supervision of long-span steel roof structures exceeding 40m span will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of statutory requirements, site supervision practices, quality control procedures, and construction administration.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
