Job summary

JCVL PTE. LTD. Singapore seeks an experienced Civil and Structural Engineer to lead and manage supervision teams on major construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and contract standards.

You will plan shifts, coordinate with clients and project consultants, resolve technical issues, administer contracts under PSSCOC, and demonstrate strong leadership on buildings, structural steel, and drainage works.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant civil/structural engineering experience.
• At least 8 years on projects of similar size and complexity.
• Degree recognised by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore; accreditation held.

Responsibilities

• Manage the supervision team to monitor, supervise, and inspect construction works as directed, ensuring compliance with Acts and Regulations.
• Plan and coordinate shift rosters for supervision personnel with contractor work schedules.
• Collaborate with QP(D) and QP(S) to resolve design and technical issues related to Temporary Works and Permanent Works construction.
• Administer contracts under PSSCOC to ensure proper contract compliance and documentation.
• Lead supervision teams on projects involving major construction works in buildings, structural steel works, and drainage with emphasis on site safety.
• Apply knowledge of statutory codes and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedures, construction administration, and progress report submissions.
• Demonstrate strong supervision and leadership to organize and motivate teams effectively.

Job Summary

Lead and manage supervision teams to monitor and inspect major civil and structural engineering construction works, resolving technical issues and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and contract standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the supervision team to monitor, supervise, and inspect construction works as directed by Client, QP(S), QP(Geo), and project consultants, ensuring compliance with all relevant Acts and Regulations
• Plan and coordinate shift rosters for supervision personnel aligned with contractor work schedules while ensuring personnel welfare
• Collaborate with QP(D) and QP(S) to resolve design and technical issues related to Temporary Works and Permanent Works construction
• Administer contracts using Public Service Sector Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC) to ensure proper contract compliance and documentation
• Lead supervision teams on projects involving major construction works in buildings, structural steel works, and drainage, demonstrating commitment to site safety and health
• Apply knowledge of statutory codes and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedures, construction administration, and progress report submissions
• Demonstrate strong supervision and leadership skills to organize and motivate teams effectively

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience as a civil and structural engineer, including at least 8 years on projects of similar size and complexity involving major construction works
• Civil and Structural Engineering degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore
• Accreditation with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore
