Job summary

Jacobs in Singapore is seeking a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) Electrical for the Changi Water Treatment plant extension. You will oversee quality control on electrical works, review designs, and supervise installation from power distribution to control systems.

You will ensure compliance with codes, conduct FAT/SAT, and train staff on new systems. This onsite role requires a Diploma in Electrical and 5+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years as RTO Electrical.
• Experience on water infrastructure projects preferred.
• Knowledge of drawings is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical works, quality control and assurance for construction.
• Review designs and specifications to identify issues or improvements.
• Coordinate with design teams and contractors to meet regulations.
• Supervise installation of electrical systems: distribution, lighting, ELV/LV, lightning, earthing, control systems.
• Conduct FAT and SAT to verify installations meet criteria.
• Commission new electrical systems and ensure integration with plant systems.
• Develop modification plans compliant with regulations and standards.
• Oversee implementation of modifications with contractors.
• Document all modifications and maintain records.
• Provide training to operators and maintenance staff on new systems.
