Job summary

Jacobs in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Water Business, onsite at the Tuas Water Reclamation Plant Project, with five working days per week. You will oversee Mechanical Building Services for the water treatment facilities, supervise design and construction, and coordinate BIM, calculations, drawings, and contractor submissions.

The role requires 5–10 years of relevant experience, Singapore PEB recognition, and willingness to be based at site offices, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering recognized by Singapore PEB.
• Between 5 and 10 years of mechanical & Building Services design and construction experience in Singapore.
• Experience in generating/reviewing design calculations for mechanical equipment and accessories.
• Proficiency in multidisciplinary coordination, interface management, and cross-functional issue resolution.
• Conversant in statutory codes and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review the Mechanical and Building Services scope, BIM, specifications, and drawings for all Mechanical works.
• Understand and follow plans, procedures, workflows, systems and tools for supervision of a specific facility.
• Work with the BIM model for the Mechanical, Building Services, and other MEICA works.
• Provide regular updates to the Engineering Manager and CRE on related technical and engineering issues.
• Work closely with the CRE to resolve technical and engineering issues.
• Provide technical leadership on Mechanical and Building Services engineering within the project team.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, statutory requirements, and codes of practice.
• Liaise with the design team on reviews of contractor submissions including calculations, BIM models, drawings, materials, etc.
• Ensure reviews of the Contractors' submittals throughout the submittal process.
• Confirm safety and environmental compliance during construction, testing and commissioning.
