Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a highly experienced professional to supervise architectural works. The role involves overseeing the architectural team, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and conducting safety inspections. Candidates must have a degree recognized by BOA and at least 8 years of experience in major construction projects. Strong leadership skills and knowledge of quality control procedures are essential. The position offers a 5.5 work week with a focus on safety management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction works, with at least 5 years in major buildings.
• Strong understanding of site supervision and safety procedures.
• Experience in preparing site supervision plans and reports.
• Strong leadership skills
• Familiar with Workplace Safety & Health Manual procedures
• 5.5‑day work week (44 hours/week)

Responsibilities

• Oversee architectural works and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Review drawings and specifications for discrepancies.
• Monitor project progress and report to client.
• Conduct safety inspections and manage incident responses.
• Review and comment on construction method statements, risk assessments, workplans, and safety workshops
• Prepare site supervision plan and supervise works directed by OIC
• Monitor project progress and prepare progress/status reports for client updates
• Ensure adherence to stakeholders' regulations for supervision and safety
• Monitor contractors' safety performance and participate in site safety management
• Conduct roving safety inspections, emergencies, incidents and investigations
• Report accidents/incidents/near-misses on site

Job description

Scope:

• Provide supervision services for all Architectural works to ensure that contractors complies with contract/authorities'/agencies' requirements

• Oversee the Architectural team and personnel

• Provide all necessary endorsement

• Review all drawings and specifications and highlight any discrepancies, non-workable and/or missing details to OIC and the QP(D)s and QP(S)

• Review and comment on all construction method statements, risk assessments for works, workplans, design for safety (DfS) workshop and SOP proposals

• Provide all relevant endorsements required by authorities/agencies/client

• Assist QPD for application of TOP and CSC

• Prepare site supervision plan and supervise all works directed by OIC

• Monitor project progress to ensure timely completion and prepare necessary site progress and status report for update to client

• Adhere to regulations and requirements of all stakeholders for any supervision work while ensuring proper supervision

• Monitor contractors' safety performance and participate actively in site safety management

• Conduct roving safety inspections, emergency & incident response and facts finding

• Report any accident/incident/near miss on site

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience , of which at least 5 years in major construction works in buildings, architectural and fitting out works

• possess degree recognised by BOA

• Conversant with statutory code and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedures, construction administration and submission of progress report

• Strong leadership skills

• Familiar with all procedures in the Workplace Safety & Health Manual

• 5.5 work week (44 hours/week)
