Qualifications

• Recognised degree in science or engineering discipline preferred.
• At least 3 years’ working experience in research management/administration or similar roles in compliance/administration.
• Experience in research-related functions in higher education sector or research contracts/grants management will be an advantage.
• Knowledge or experience in executing policies and procedures relating to university administration or workflow compliance.
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment.
• Meticulous, independent and organised with the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Policy implementation: Collaborate with research and administrative units to execute research security procedures and protocols.
• Pre-project assessment and post-approval monitoring: Liaise with research teams and conduct initial risk assessments and monitor risk mitigation measures.
• Training and awareness: Craft materials and update training programmes to promote awareness of research security.
• Case documentation and archival: Maintain documentation on research security cases and archive in the unit’s database.
