National University of Singapore invites applications for a senior investigative leadership role. The incumbent will lead and personally conduct investigations into security incidents and student misconduct, coordinating with Care Units to support students throughout the process.

The role requires extensive experience in investigations (10+ years) with at least 5 years in supervision, and prior government or law enforcement exposure.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline with at least 10 years of investigative experience, including 5 years in supervision.
• Experience in an investigative role within government agencies or law enforcement.
• Proficient knowledge of evidence handling, chain-of-custody protocols, and investigation procedures.
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, well-structured investigation reports and management briefs.
• Effective interviewing skills, with experience conducting structured interviews across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Resourceful and solutions-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Possession of a valid driving or riding licence is an advantage;
• Must be prepared to work irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays when operational needs require.

Responsabilités

• Lead and personally conduct thorough investigations into security incidents and student misconduct cases, in accordance with the University's policies, statutes, and regulations.
• Coordinate with Care Units to ensure appropriate support is extended to students throughout the investigation process.
• Review and analyse evidence and documents to develop a holistic assessment of each case, consolidating findings into comprehensive investigation reports with actionable recommendations.
• Oversee case management, ensuring investigation files and documentation are accurately maintained and up to date, and that the team's KPIs are consistently met.
• Prepare management reports on investigation outcomes, statistics, and emerging trends to support informed decision-making.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the University and relevant government agencies on investigation-related matters.
• Provide investigative advisory support to management, faculties, and departments as needed; and
• Undertake ad hoc assignments as directed.
