Job summary

STH TRADERS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Region Research & Development Manager to oversee R&D initiatives, QA activities, and audits across regional operations in Singapore.

You will collaborate with field teams, suppliers, and store operations to enhance food safety and service quality. The role focuses on evaluating new techniques, managing R&D studies, maintaining client relationships, and supporting project managers with technical delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of food technology, microbiology and food safety practices.
• Experience with GMP, HACCP and ISO 9000 in foodservice environments.
• Ability to design quality systems and facilitate audits.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and recommend new techniques and technologies

Manage Research and Development (R&D) credit studies and related activities

Develop and sustain excellent client relationships during delivery of Research and Development (R&D) services

Assist (other) Research and Development (R&D) project managers with the delivery of engagements as needed, including research and writing with regard to technical issues

Provide Research and Development (R&D) quality assurance, engagement reviewer and exam support

Builds effective cross-functional relationships with field implementation, regional food, distribution, facilities and other professional services teams

Consults with regional retail operation leaders to identify opportunities and drive improvement in execution of food safety and cleanliness standards in retail stores

Implements and monitors quality assurance programs to ensure they meet or exceed intended objectives

Manages third party audit program for region

RegionQualifications for research & development manager:

• Assesses project requests and assignments to technical project managers
• Knowledge of food technology, food microbiology, safe food handling procedures and foodservice sanitation practices
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP Principles, ISO 9000, dairy regulations and applicable food codes for foodservice operations
• Ability to design and conduct Quality System and facilitate audits
