Job summary

National University of Singapore's Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine invites applications for a Research Assistant in the Mouse Intervention Programme (MIP) under the Healthy Longevity Translational Research Programme (HLTRP). The role involves animal handling, tissue collection, and multi-omics work to advance geroprotective interventions in mice.

The appointment is on a 1-year contract with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical, life sciences or related disciplines.
• Experience in animal handling, mouse colony maintenance, genotyping, histology or neuroscience.
• Background in cell biology, molecular biology or neuroscience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in handling and maintenance of aged mice, and conduct frailty assessments and behavioural studies.
• Support sample collection, processing for omics analyses and perform histology/imaging.
• Provide data collection, analysis and reporting; maintain documentation and progress reports.
• Coordinate communication and logistics for collaborations with external institutes.
• Ensure SOPs and safety guidelines are followed; supervise junior staff.
