Job summary

A polymer research company in Singapore is looking for a candidate to join their R&D Section. The role involves coordinating product design projects, conducting testing, and maintaining laboratory equipment. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in a relevant field and ideally 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory environment. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply. Job description
The Job

You will join the Research & Development Section equipped with advanced and comprehensive laboratory facilities and assist the Chemist in product design studies, including co-ordination of day-to-day operation and carrying out processing & analysis and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

The Daily
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities for product design projects – arrange for testing, responsible for all results and its summary and follow-up items
  • Carry out processing and testing of samples as scheduled in work plan
  • Upkeep equipment through regular maintenance & calibration and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate level of inventory for materials required for product design projects
  • Assist chemist to carry out commissioning and method development for new equipment and improve existing testing methods
  • Ensure good housekeeping, upkeep safety & environmental protection and participate actively in Health, Safety & Environment programme
The Essentials
  • Diploma and/or Degree in Chemical/Polymer/Material Engineering/Chemistry.
  • Possess 1-2 years of experience in material testing laboratory environment
  • Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply
  • Knowledge of (1) polymer processing and testing methods (2) polymer science
  • Able to carry out general maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • A team player with integrity and initiative, good analytical thinking and proficient in Microsoft Office
