Ethos is seeking an experienced comptroller to help train an AI-driven workflow for professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. The role involves ownership of close reconciliations and audit-related tasks, with remote flexibility and a weekly commitment of 5–20 hours.

Start date is ASAP. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years in corporate accounting or audit support, fluency in GAAP, and expert document/spreadsheet craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in corporate accounting, financial operations, or audit support with hands-on ownership of close reconciliations and audit request schedules.
• Fluency in GAAP and PBC documentation standards; skilled in spreadsheet-based control testing.
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship with strong written communication.

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated financial documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks across core workflows.
• Support monthly close reconciliations and journal entry packages.
• Prepare audit request schedules and PBC documentation; manage vendor and expense audit trails.
