Job summary

Ethos is seeking senior accountants to help train language models on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. We require 5+ years in corporate accounting, financial operations, or audit support to own close reconciliations and audit schedules.

This fully remote position offers $80/hour for 5–20 hours per week with an ASAP start. You will work on monthly close, PBC, AP/AR aging, variance summaries, and SOX-related documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in corporate accounting, financial operations, or internal/external audit support with ownership of close reconciliations and audit request schedules.
• Deep fluency in GAAP, PBC documentation standards, and spreadsheet-based control testing.
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship with excellent written communication.

Responsibilities

• Monthly close reconciliations and journal entry packages.
• Audit request schedules and PBC documentation.
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable aging reports.
• Budget-to-actual variance summaries.
• Internal control walkthroughs and SOX testing memos.
• Vendor and expense audit trail spreadsheets.
