Responsibilities

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with Japanese-speaking institutional investors and high-net-worth clients.

• Execute transactions in collaboration with internal teams (trading, operations, compliance).
• Support client onboarding processes including KYC and CDD requirements.

Job description

The Relationship Manager - Japan Desk role offers an opportunity to join a Singapore-based financial services firm providing asset management solutions that combine traditional securities with digital assets. With a strong focus on Japanese-speaking high-net-worth clients, the firm is expanding its platform by offering specialised cryptocurrency derivatives alongside traditional investment products such as equities, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), fixed income, and derivatives.

This fully onsite position focuses on developing and maintaining relationships with high-net-worth individuals and institutional investors while identifying new business opportunities across capital markets and digital asset products.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with Japanese-speaking institutional investors and high-net-worth clients
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across capital markets and digital asset products
• Provide investment strategies, market insights, and product solutions based on market analysis
• Execute transactions in close collaboration with internal teams, including trading, operations, and compliance
• Support client onboarding processes, including Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) requirements
• Monitor client portfolios and deliver ongoing advisory services
• Participate in networking events and business development activities

Requirements

• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in client-facing or sales-related roles within the financial services industry
• Experience with a Japanese securities sales representative licence or CMFAS RES Module 12B, CM-EIP, and CM-SIP is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to identify and address client needs while building long-term relationships
• Solid foundational knowledge of financial products, including equities, foreign exchange, fixed income, and derivatives
• Strong results-driven mindset with a proactive and commercial approach
• Professional working proficiency in Japanese to liaise with Japanese-speaking stakeholders
• Business-level English proficiency is highly desirable
• Knowledge of or interest in digital assets is a plus
