Job summary

Cathay United Bank Singapore invites an experienced Corporate Banking professional to manage trade finance and loan facilities within the Middle Market segment. You will originate opportunities, structure facilities and liaise with Head Office, branches, and clients to grow relationships.

You will ensure compliance with MAS/FSC and internal policies while collaborating with global teams to implement workflows and cross-sell banking services.

Responsibilities

• Handle inquiries and build relationships with Head Office, branches, overseas branches and corporate customers.
• Originate trade finance business and grow the Middle Market loan book.
• Structure credit facilities and obtain credit approvals, and oversee documentation.
• Collaborate with global transactions department to implement the trade finance workflow in Singapore Branch.
• Cross-sell bank's services and products (e.g., Deposits, TMU, DCM).
• Ensure compliance of trade finance and loan products with MAS/FSC regulators and internal policies.
• Familiar with MAS regulatory guidelines with strong risk management and data analytics skills.
• Perform credit applications, credit reviews, internal risk ratings, and ad-hoc reporting.
• Identify loan syndication and sustainable financing opportunities.
• Prepare and monitor bilateral borrowings and syndication facilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle customers' inquiries, liaise and develop relationships and businesses with Head Office, domestic branches, overseas branches and inter-departments as well as corporate customers.


• Originate trade finance business at Singapore Branch and grow the Middle Market segment of the bank's loan book.


• Structuring the credit facilities (including the indicative loan term sheet), negotiating trade solutions with clients, putting up and obtaining credit approvals, execution of approved facilities in accordance to credit approval and the follow up facilities documentation and review.


• Work closely with global transactions department to implement the trade finance workflow in Singapore Branch.


• Cross selling bank's services and products (ex: Deposit, TMU, DCM)


• Ensure compliance of trade finance and loan products with regulators (MAS / FSC) and with internal policy guidelines.


• Familiar with basic MAS relevant regulatory policy guideline with strong risk management and data analytical skills.


• Perform and handle on credit application, credit review, internal risk rating, and any ad-hoc periodic or non-periodic reports/data/statistics required


• Identify loan syndication and sustainable financing opportunities


• Prepare and monitor bilateral borrowings and syndication facilities
