Job description

About Us

We are a premier, traditional Teochew restaurant dedicated to delivering exquisite culinary experiences rooted in authentic heritage and warm hospitality. We pride ourselves not only on serving exceptional, time-honored Teochew dishes but also on immersing our guests in a rich cultural atmosphere characterized by attentive, personalized service.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and charismatic Guest Relations Manager to lead our front-of-house hospitality experience. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, ensuring that every guest—from regular patrons to VIPs and cultural diners—receives impeccable, personalized attention from arrival to departure.

You will bridge the gap between our dining operations and cultural events, managing guest feedback, orchestrating special occasions, and cultivating long-term relationships that embody traditional Teochew hospitality (Teochew Renqingwei).

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Experience Leadership: Oversee the entire guest journey, greeting VIPs, regular patrons, and first-time diners with warmth, poise, and professionalism.

  • Customer Service & Resolution: Proactively engage with diners to ensure satisfaction, swiftly and gracefully resolving any concerns or special requests.

  • Cultural Hosting: Coordinate seamlessly with our dining and cultural performance teams to ensure that guests enjoying our live performances or special events feel exceptionally well cared for.

  • VIP & Reservation Management: Handle high-profile bookings, private banquets, corporate events, and special celebrations with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Team Mentorship: Train, guide, and inspire front-of-house floor staff on hospitality standards, guest engagement techniques, and cultural etiquette.

  • Feedback Tracking: Maintain a log of guest preferences, dietary requirements, and feedback to personalize future visits and improve service standards.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in guest relations, front-of-house management, or concierge roles within upscale dining, luxury hospitality, or premium F&B establishments.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, charm, and emotional intelligence; able to interact comfortably with diverse clienteles, dignitaries, and cultural guests.

  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Mandarin is required. Proficiency in Teochew or dialects is a strong advantage for connecting with our traditional clientele.

  • Organizational Ability: Strong multi-tasking skills, poise under pressure during peak dining hours, and a sharp eye for detail.

  • Cultural Alignment: A genuine appreciation for traditional Chinese or Teochew dining culture, heritage, and values.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
