Job summary

Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home is seeking personnel to assist therapists in clinical care, with duties including lifting and transferring residents, and helping with assessment and treatment planning. You will support occupational and physical therapy, monitor progress, and contribute to group rehabilitation activities.

The role involves ensuring equipment is in good condition, maintaining inventories, and participating in ward rounds and team conferences.

Qualifications

• GCE N Level is required or preferred.
• Training in WSQ Higher Certificate / Advanced Certificate / in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) is required or preferred.
• ITE Approved Training Centre (ATC) Healthcare (Home Care) Programme is recognized.

Responsibilities

• Assist Therapists in providing therapy treatments (includes lifting, transferring and transporting patients).
• Assist the therapists (occupational therapist and physiotherapist) in assessment, treatment plan development and progress review.
• Evaluate, monitor and review treatment on a regular basis to document needs and progress of residents and ensure that treatment is appropriate and effective.
• Conduct group therapeutic exercises/activities and individualized rehabilitation treatment under supervision of the therapists.
• Participate as a member of the health team by attending ward rounds, meetings and team conferences, and discuss resident-related issues with caregivers and family members.
• Ensure that all equipment and therapy tools are in good condition and working order; maintain inventory and regular servicing.
• Guide, supervise and train caregivers and volunteers on duties and implementation of social and recreational activities for residents; provide training for discharge preparation.
• Maintain 5-day work week.
