ABER CARE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Therapy Support Assistant to help elderly clients with prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities to boost mobility, strength, and function.

Under supervision of the physiotherapist and occupational therapist, you will assist in activities, monitor progress, set up equipment, maintain a clean, safe therapy area, and support group sessions. Excellent communication, patience, and reliability are essential, as is a minimum of two years in healthcare or therapy.

Qualifications

• WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Therapy Support) or NITEC in Community Care & Social Services.
• Minimum 2 years of healthcare or therapy experience.

Responsabilités

• Assist elderly through prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities to enhance mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
• Assist PT and OT with activities for geriatric clients.
• Motivate elderly to practice essential life skills with tailored positive reinforcement.
• Monitor treatment compliance and record developmental milestones or concerns.
• Assist with transferring of patients.
• Setup equipment for therapy session and ensure area is clean and safe.
• Observe and report elderly progress or challenges to the occupational therapist.
• Support the occupational therapist during group therapy sessions.
