Responsibilities include cleaning bathrooms, floors, resident rooms, dining areas; handling waste; coordinating with care staff; and completing training to ensure resident privacy and safety.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and toilets according to hygiene procedures and schedules.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean floors, furniture and fixtures in resident areas.
• Make unoccupied resident beds and replace bedding per linen-change schedule.
• Clean the dining hall, tables and designated meal-service surfaces.
• Empty rubbish bins and replenish supplies; do not handle confidential records or personal belongings without authorisation.
• Dispose of waste following procedures and report hazards.
• Transport residents' clothing and linen to collection points; keep items separate during handling.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report faults; keep storage areas orderly.
• Attend required training and carry out safety controls and other housekeeping duties.
• Respect residents' privacy and promptly report concerns to the nurse manager.
