Job summary

remotepeople seeks an experienced Regional SRE/Platform Engineer to own stability, observability, and automation for the region’s production environment. You will work with AWS across multiple regions, manage incidents, and collaborate with HQ on containerization and middleware governance to enable independent regional releases and fast recovery.

• Proven experience in SRE/Platform engineering with 5+ years.
• Hands-on in AWS across multiple regions and Kubernetes.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate regional production environments with focus on stability and observability.
• Manage incidents, runbooks, and postmortems in a regional context.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for canary releases and rollback.
• Own backup, recovery, and capacity for regional databases and middleware.
• Implement security controls, IAM, and audit trails for data access.
